The purpose of the Summit is threefold:

1. To learn how God is using compassion based ministries in our particular settings
2. To collect some possible common threads of knowledge and understanding, from our joint stories, that can help each of our churches become stronger in our ability to reach out with the gospel in both word and deed
3. To develop an ongoing support and resource network for those who would choose to meet once or twice a year in order to support one another and gain the best practices that can be shared in a peer to peer setting
